"I have had several facials from Wendy at The Lakes and have been really pleased with the result. On entering, the treatment room is calm and relaxing, and looks and smells great. Soft brown tones and gentle relaxing music all add to the effect.  There is none of the chit-chat found at other beauty centres and it is so easy to drift off, leaving all cares and worries behind. After a full hour treatment, including head and shoulder massage, its time to wake up again (yes, I usually fall asleep it's so relaxing!)' Prior to finding Wendy, I used a local beauty centre on many occasions. However, the constant talking, the phone ringing and the voices of people chatting in the main reception area were a long way short of ideal. None of this at The Lakes. I booked a wedding make-up trial at The Lakes after coming accross the website whilst browsing on-line. I went for the trial a month before the wedding. I wasn't sure what to expect but was really impressed with the exceptionally friendly service. Wendy really took the time to speak to me about what I wanted and to make sure that I was happy. She had a huge range of make-up and gave loads of great hints and tips during the trial. It actually turned out to be a fun evening and left me feeling very confident about the make-up on the day. On the morning of the wedding, Wendy arrived in plenty of time to do all our make-up. It was great to have her there as she was such a calming presence in the house! She took her time and made sure that I was perfectly happy with everything. Lots of people commented on how nice and natural the make-up looked and especially said that she had done my eyes really well! The make-up lasted all day without anything needing to be re-applied apart from the lip gloss and it looked really good in the photos. In conclusion, it was definitely worth having someone with so much experience as she was able to give great advice and was very reassuring. I would highly recommend Wendy to any brides-to-be! The beauty room at The Lakes was spotless, very calming and relaxing, it had the perfect atmosphere for somewhere to have treatments done.
